Re: plugin.ini error

Can you tell me what is your OS, the MAME version you use (vanilla MAME or NegaMAME or other, version number)?

Re: Great front-end! Just one question.

In the end Negatron is just a frontend for MAME and MAME tries to emulate machines as faithful as possible, sometimes with some fancy stuff to easy the user experience. What you're searching isn't one of those fancy stuff implemented in MAME. You may ask the MAME team to implement this kind of featu...

Re: Depreciated Bezel Elements (?)

I don't know what you mean by the official EXTRAs pack. There aren't any official packs :) A few versions back, the MAME team changed the layout format of bezels. You can't currently disable those warnings as usually those kind of messages can hint at real errors. But I'll try to add some options to...

Re: Negatron Crash After Clean Install

There's really nothing wrong with your ini files. Yes, it's normal to get a new plugin.ini. MAME creates it whenever it's not there.
I suppose there was something else wrong with your MAME install.

Re: Negatron Crash After Clean Install

It looks like its related to your MAME install folder. Negatron does fiddle with mame.ini and plugin.ini so maybe there's something unexpected with those files for Negatron. 1/ you can send me your mame folder, or at least mame.ini and any files called plugin.ini (it seemps like there's a ~plugin.in...

Re: unknown slot option

I've just spent several hours to set up a fresh install of the last version of Debian available (10.6). I installed the last openjdk and openjfx available on Debian (version 11 for both). I used Negatron 100.1 and NegaMAME 0.226-1 (it's the same as MAME 0.226, I didn't use the one available on my we...

Re: Game Image Area Aesthetics

1/ If you're using the all-in-1 pack, the old method doesn't work indeed. It looks like I really need to add those image styling possibilities now. In the latest versions of Negatron, I'm using a new feature of the Java platform to package Java apps. Sadly, it compresses Java apps to a specific form...

Re: unknown slot option

Ok, it's weird that you have to leave the path to MAME EXTRAs out to make everything working. I'll try to reproduce the bug. For the temporary freezing issue, it may be because your compter don't have a lot of RAM. Negatron.sh is configured under the assumption that your computer has more than 2 GB ...

Re: unknown slot option

No diff between the old and the new ini files? This is really weird and, now each time you re-launch Negatron with MAME 0.226, it works fine?
