I really like the Media Preview and it is by far my preferred thumbnail generator for video files. However, it doesn't create thumnails for AVI files that use the CFHD Cineform codec.

I have the codec installed on my system (Windows 7 x64) as part of the GoPro Studio softwre installation. Cineform AVI files play back fine, but they don't have any Thumbnail image in Explorer.

Please could this be fixed?

Media Preview relies on ffmpeg to decode video files. But ffmpeg currently doesn't support Cineform, yet. Last year, this codec has become a SMPTE standard and, last week, a ffmpeg developer got the standard specs. So support on the way, but it'll probably be ready in several months...
