I have MKV file in 4K encoded with VP9 and Media Preview fails to render its thumbnail. What is even worse it makes dllhost to use 25% CPU (until restart or manually ending the process). With mkv disabled in Media Preview dllhost is fine. (Windows 7 x64)

Interesting, could you send me the file a way or another so I can do some tests? VP9 is quite a recent codec that has evolved drastically early 2015.
